Project notes
Connecting guest Wi-Fi with a Laravel application

A PHP and Laravel project for StayFi
Stayfi.com
- Radius server instance on an Linux/Ubuntu
- CloudTrax network integration
- PHP/MySQL Laravel (dev, staging, production) running on Git branches utilizing artisan database migrations
- MailChimp API integration
Supporting the initial launch
Working with the client’s management and the CloudTrax support team, we helped launch the first customer across two cities and multiple properties. The launch met its schedule and budget, and the early results supported the customer’s aim of encouraging repeat bookings through its own booking engine.
How the system fits together
The application brought together Wi-Fi access points, a Radius authentication server, and a PHP/MySQL Laravel backend. Guest information captured through the CloudTrax Open Mesh network was stored in the web application, with requested signups sent to MailChimp. The service was designed for vacation rental businesses building direct relationships with guests.
